Your receipts and reimbursement drafts stay on this device by default. Signing in restores your account and paid access. Local receipt files and drafts do not automatically move between devices. PEPperwork stores the account information needed to verify access. Your local reimbursement documents remain on this device unless you explicitly choose an action that sends or exports them.

Local documents: receipt images, proof of payment, and other reimbursement files stay in this browser. They are not uploaded to our servers for storage.

Account data: when you sign in, we store the account information needed to verify access (email identity and paid entitlement status). We do not store receipt contents there.

Shopping Assistant: product URLs and product facts you submit may be processed by our server to extract metadata, evaluate policy guidance, enforce quota, and save Family shopping-list information when you use those features. We do not return retailer HTML to the browser. If you choose optional AI assistance, only structured product facts and the policy result are sent for a cautious explanation.

Subscriptions and founding offers: Stripe processes payment and billing details. We store non-secret billing identifiers and plan status needed to restore access, manage subscriptions, and prevent founding-offer replay or over-allocation.

Limited first-party measurement: we record a random, time-limited acquisition identifier; landing path; referral hostname; selected campaign tags; and a small set of product-flow events so we can understand whether the service is being used. When you are signed in, those events may be associated with your verified account identifier. We do not include receipt or document contents, shopping details, names, email addresses, payment details, full referral URLs, or raw query strings in this measurement data, and we do not use it for cross-site tracking.

Sign out vs delete: You can delete one reimbursement or all local documents anytime. Signing out does not delete local documents. Deleting local documents does not remove a paid entitlement.

Local documents remain until you delete them or clear site data. Server-side entitlements remain until you request account deletion.
